Peacock Blue Handloom Pure Silk Kanjivaram Saree With Zari

It is believed that the silk weavers of Kanchipuram are the holy descendants of Sage Markanda, a master weaver of the gods who could possibly weave tissue out of lotus fibre. Blessed and divine, these weavers have been showcasing their talent by weaving masterpieces that have not been able to go out of style ever since it’s inception. Be it a wedding, that Kanjivaram sarees are extremely famous for, or a special occasion, wrapping yourself in the grace and the elegance of these intricately weaved Kanjivaram always makes you stand out. Often the motifs on these sarees are inspired by mythological stories, temples architecture and more, thus making these sarees worthy of connoisseurship and pounding love. The Weaving Technique

The three shuttle weaving technique used to create contrasts in borders and pallu is known as the Kanjivaram Korvai. Two weavers sit at both weft ends of a loom to throw the shuttle while weaving a korvai saree. A korvai saree is more expensive than a regular single color silk kanjivaram
