Our Handloom Pink Pure Satin Silk Tanchoi Banarasi Fabric is a masterpiece brilliantly designed to add the "extra" to your "ordinary" silhouettes. The shiny, supremely soft satin silk fabric is not just appealing to the eyes but also a wrinkle-resistant and durable addition to your wardrobe. The elegance of the subtle pink expanse is accentuated with gold, silver, and mustard floral stripes all over. Our ingenious Banarasi artisans have woven this exquisite fabric using the intricate Tanchoi weaving technique. This method uses two to five weft threads for every one or two warp threads to bring you an alluring pink satin silk fabric such as this.

The Weaving Technique
Tanchois are a very fine weave banarasi sarees that use an extra weft thread to create delicate patterns. Tanchoi weaving is one of the complex and technical weaving techniques as it uses one or two warp and two to five weft colors. These sarees are extremely light weight and soft to drape. Jamawar & Tanchois are both satin weave techniques where the motifs are created using the primary weft yarn itself creating an inlaid or embossed look, unlike a brocade, which uses extra warp or weft to create the patterns.
Technically we use the word Jamawar or Jamewar when the motifs feature more than one color, while Tanchois usually have one single color motif or pattern. Jamawars also seem to have a lot of persian influence and are majorly dominated with paisleys in the design pattern
