Safe Delivery

What precautions are you taking to ensure a safe shopping experience and orders are delivered in a safe manner?

As per government guidelines we have implemented several health and safety measures in our stores, workshops and warehouses. To facilitate a safe working and shopping experience for all our teams and customers we conduct regular screening involving: 

Thermal Scanning : All visitors including our staff undergo temperature checks and share daily health status before the shift starts

Social Distancing : The team at Weaver Story adheres to social distancing guidelines and wears a face mask at all times. The team operates in shifts/ alternate day roster to ensure the exposure is minimum

Regular Sanitization and Deep Cleaning - our store and warehouse is sanitised and surface cleaned twice a day

Safe Delivery:  We use best in class and professional delivery services. All our Delivery partners follow strict health protocols and we encourage them to follow contact less delivery practices

Can I buy through Phone or WhatsApp?

Definitely. Our Styling and Service team will be happy to assist you with any queries regarding the product/ payment or delivery options or any other related queries.

Do I need to setup an account on your website to place an order?

No, you do not need to create an account on our website to place an order and you may checkout directly after updating the billing and shipping details. We do recommend creating an account to keep yourself updated with New Arrivals and Offers that we run occasionally

How can i track my order placed with you?

As soon as we receive your order we will update you with an order confirmation email and text message. As your order gets ready with us you will receive an update on the 3rd day and we will send you an email ad/or text message with an online order tracking link once your order is dispatched.  The tracking link is generally activated within 2 working days from physical dispatch.

I have a Weaver Story Gift Card/ Voucher. Can it be redeemed on your website?

Shipping, Payments And Delivery

Domestic Shipping

It takes 4-5 business days to process the order at our warehouse in Delhi and ship the package. In case the product ordered is customised or needs finishing, the processing time may be longer. We will keep you informed about the stages via email.

Orders will be delivered to the shipping address mentioned at the time of checkout. Any request for change in the shipping address should be emailed to us at within 24 hours of placing the order.

Our courier partners will attempt to deliver the package three times before it is returned to us. Please provide the complete shipping address including pincode/ zipcode and a contact number to ensure faster delivery.

International Shipping

All orders are shipped internationally from our warehouse to the mentioned shipping address via Express Shipping / Standard Shipping.

Customs/ VAT/ Taxes/ Duties may be applicable on the order depending on the shipping country and location. Weaver Story is not liable for any additional costs related to customs that may occur. 

International orders are delivered between 10-15 business days (taking into account customs and delivery time). Made to Order products will take longer to be shipped

What Payments Methods do you accept?

For Domestic orders, we accept all major debit & credit cards (including Mastercard, Visa & American Express), Net Banking options across major banks as well as recognized Wallet & UPI options.

Please Note: As per RBI regulations, all credit and debit cards issued in India cannot be used for transactions in international currency. Any exceptions to this will need to be approved by the card holder and bank directly.

Can I place my order on Cash on Delivery?

Yes, we provide cash on delivery on most pincodes in India. The delivery partner may vary depending on the service availability and time taken for a COD order, maybe a little more than a prepaid order. Our team will call you to reconfirm the order before processing the same. Please make sure your provide a contact number that is frequently used to not miss the order confirmation call/ message

Our team may also update you in case the order cannot be shipped as prepaid if the courier partner does not have service in your area.

Can I do Part Cash on Delivery & Part Prepaid?

If the combined order is very high value/ size/ volume the delivery partner may revise the rates and we will contact you for the additional charges.

I'm based out of India/Abroad & need shipping in another country?

Yes, that's absolutely fine. Please make sure you add the address you need the parcel to be delivered to in the Shipping Address section.

If I order more than 1 product & want delivery to be made to multiple addresses?

No this is not possible as we allow only one shipping address per order. You may split the products in more than one order

Can I Exchange/Return products bought online in the weaver story outlet in delhi?

Products purchased on our online store can be returned/exchanged at our delhi store provided they meet all the terms and conditions mentioned in our return policy.

Product Related Queries

If i need additional details about the products that i like, how can i get them?

We put a lot of effort into detailing the products that we sell. The product description page will normally have multiple pictures of the product, the kind of fabric and embellishments/ zari used while weaving and embroidering the same. There will also be additional details like measurements of the textile, the type of fiber used and styling tips.

All our silk textiles carry a silk mark certificate issued by the Ministry of Textiles (Government of India enterprise). All Weaver Story products are hand crafted and come with the same assurance

Can I get real pictures of the Saree?

All our products are shot either in natural light or light most conducive to shooting silks, The nature of the silk fiber is such that it reflects light. We take due care while shooting to ensure the true color is reflected in the images. Our images are not photoshopped or edited.

However images clicked with phone in indoor lighting and other factors may impact the actual color to some extent

What type of Silk & Zari is used in your sarees?

We use pure mulberry / tusser and moonga silk yarns for our silk textiles and pure and often handspun cotton for our Banarasi cotton sarees. We are also silk mark certified and ISO certified for our processes.

The Zari used at Weaver Story is very fine and high grade. We do not use any form of imitation or art silk yarn or plastic zaris in any of our products

We also have a curated collective of pure/real zari sarees (hallmark silver and gold plated zari filaments). You can view this collective in the Amulya section of our website

How do I look after & take care of my precious weaves?

Every Weaver Story product is styled and crafted with love, affection & passion, and we suggest that you take extra care of these one of a kind pieces. We recommend:

Dry Clean Only
 bringing in contact with liquids especially perfumes
Change folds regularly
, and store in pure cotton bags/ fabric that we send along with your favorite textile

Iron on Reverse. Do not bleach and expose this product to excessive heat and sunlight for long

Out of Stock & Pre Orders?

In case any of your desired products are out of stock now or you do not find them on the website they are most likely sold out. Please feel free to get in touch with our customer care team. We may have similar products ready (color/design) but the photoshoots may not have happened so they will not be available on the website. Our customer service team will update you on the same via email and help you place your order

Some premium products will also be available for pre ordering and you will notice the preorder tag on the product page. The products appearing with tag/section can be customised for fabric and colors.

Pre Orders generally take 60-90 days from the date of placing the order but in some cases the weaving time may go up to 6 months depending on the intricacy of the design and weaving technique used.

Most pre orders are technically advance orders and a tentative date of despatch will be available on the product page. These are pre paid orders.

In case of orders where the delivery time is more than 6 months the order can be placed with 50% payment upfront and balance prior to shipping.

Where is your store located & do you have presence in Varanasi & Chanderi?

Our flagship store is located in Delhi. Weaving is a cottage industry and we work with weavers and artisans in remote parts of the country.

We do have representatives in all our weaving clusters but we retail out of our online store and our flagship store in Delhi
