Vivid hot pink gives Madhulika its striking presence, while the craftsmanship reveals itself through the details. Crafted in pure silk organza, the saree brings together a sheer, lightweight body, hand-embroidered zardozi and meenakari bootis, and an elaborate handwoven Banarasi border.

The organza is light and translucent, allowing the intensity of the hot pink to shift subtly with every fold of the drape. Across the otherwise open body, floral bootis are individually hand embroidered in zardozi with meenakari detailing. Placed at considered intervals, they introduce intricate points of gold and colour while preserving the openness of the organza.

The handwoven Banarasi border forms the defining frame of the saree. Sona zari creates a continuous composition of stylised birds, flowers, paisley forms and scrolling vines. Purple meenakari accents appear selectively through the weave, bringing depth to the gold and creating a beautiful contrast against the hot pink ground. Fine woven bands along either side complete the border with precision.
