Handloom Violet Pure Katan Silk Kimkhab Banarasi Saree With Meena Booti

When looking for sarees for wedding ceremonies, this violet handloom is completely worth the investment. This handloom is a katan Banarasi saree expertly crafted by hand by the master artisans of Banaras. These ingenious artisans employed the age-old Kimkhab weaving technique to create this Banarasi saree. The entire expanse of the highly durable, lightweight katan saree is richly decorated with yellow meena bootis and intricate floral patterns that keep you hooked on its appearance. These intricate patterns are meticulously crafted using delicate gold zari threads, which add a touch of royalty to the weave. The border of this pure silk saree adorns an amalgamation of geometric lines and zigzag patterns, horizontal almond-shaped designs, and Mughal-inspired florals. The silk saree comes with a violet blouse piece featuring a gold zari border identical to the drape.

The Weaving Technique

Kinkhwab is a rich, heavy silk fabric with an intricate pattern woven into it. Khinkwab textiles are largely used for ceremonial textiles and the resultant fabric is like woven gold, The weave produces intricate floral designs that appear embroidered on the surface of the fabric. The gold weave is so prominent that it almost covers the base fabric.
