Handloom Mustard Pure Katan Silk Jamawar Banarasi Fabric With Three Color Zari

The grandeur presence of this heavily interlaced pure Katan Silk fabric, by Weaver Story, hand loomed with a golden Mustard color palette and a memorable story of historicity, is a powerful epitome of the divine Sun God himself, worshipped all around our nation with utter devotion and fidelity. Hand woven with a sterling quality of 100% unadulterated Katan Silk, the fabric of the fabric represents sheer hard work and strength as it is made by twisting several silk threads together at the same time.

Embellished with a dense zari floral and fauna-like motifs of three different hues, the Jamawar tradition of uniform and specific weaving adds spice and expensive taste to the making of this minimalistic ensemble. Jamawar thread work is popularly known for its tidiness and time consuming process, as no stitch is left ignored in the back. The blood orange and crimson red undertones of the material pair interestingly well with the overpowering golden silhouette, modernizing the vintage sense of fashion while also remembering the sacred roots of the triumphant past.

The Weaving Technique

Tanchois are a very fine weave banarasi sarees that use an extra weft thread to create delicate patterns. Tanchoi weaving is one of the complex and technical weaving techniques as it uses one or two warp and two to five weft colors. These sarees are extremely light weight and soft to drape. Jamawar & Tanchois are both satin weave techniques where the motifs are created using the primary weft yarn itself creating an inlaid or embossed look, unlike a brocade, which uses extra warp or weft to create the patterns.
Technically we use the word Jamawar or Jamewar when the motifs feature more than one color, while Tanchois usually have one single color motif or pattern. Jamawars also seem to have a lot of persian influence and are majorly dominated with paisleys in the design pattern
