This Mustard handloom saree is woven in pure matka silk and features a contrasting pallu woven in sheer kora muslin. The matka silk body carries a naturally textured surface with a structured drape, highlighted by small woven Jamdani butis scattered across the mustard base.

Created using the traditional handloom Jamdani technique, each motif is inserted individually during weaving with a supplementary weft. The motifs, therefore, become an integral part of the fabric rather than a surface embellishment.

The saree transitions into a translucent kora muslin pallu, showcasing the most intricate part of the design. The pallu features paired swan motifs facing inward, woven within a flowing network of arching vines, stylised leaves and floral forms. The swans are rendered in soft ivory with geometric wing detailing in muted pink and teal, while the surrounding florals appear in pastel pink, powder blue, warm yellow and soft green tones, creating a garden-like composition across the muslin panel. Fine horizontal stripes anchor the end of the pallu, which is finished with hand-knotted tassels, highlighting the finesse of the handloom finishing.

Each WeaverStory Jamdani saree is handwoven using traditional loom techniques practiced in the weaving clusters of Undivided Bengal.
