Handloom Olive Green Pure Katan Silk Kimkhab Banarasi Saree With Silver Zari

Sculpted like a picturesque tapestry of an exotic field full of golden and green leaves and reminding it's admirers of an unforgettable architectural presence from the past, Weaver Story's exquisitely hand crafted Banarasi Katan Silk Saree presents itself as a gorgeous opportunity to place your inner artist on a pedestal and wear something that has a vital historicity in each of its weave. Birthed using the intensive Kimkhab motif curating methodology, where each floral pattern has its own rich design and dexterity, Banarasi Katan Sarees originate with a sense of pride for one's own traditions and culture genealogy. While the ethnic significance of the Silver Zari interlacing adds a texture of maturity and ripeness to the vintage aesthetic of the ensemble, the bold and vivacious color palette of pastel and mild olive greens grant a sense of ingenuity to the ensemble.

100% sterling Katan Silk, hand loomed by mangling certain filaments of delicate Silk together, is used to craft this stern and aesthetically pleasing fabric with great perseverance and artistry. The ornaments of authentic Silver brocade work perfectly complements with the olive green hues of the Saree, along with those of the attached blouse piece, making the whole ensemble look like a dream come true!

The Weaving Technique

Kinkhwab is a rich, heavy silk fabric with an intricate pattern woven into it. Khinkwab textiles are largely used for ceremonial textiles and the resultant fabric is like woven gold, The weave produces intricate floral designs that appear embroidered on the surface of the fabric. The gold weave is so prominent that it almost covers the base fabric.
