Handloom Mustard Double Shade Pure Chanderi Silk Dupatta With Sona Rupa Jaal

Exquisite handicrafts such as this mustard handloom dupatta can seamlessly add a touch of elegance to your beautiful outfits. The double-shaded pure Chanderi silk expanse is thoughtfully crafted under the brilliance of craftsmen blessed with high caliber and skills of intricate weaving and efforts of designers who are keen to offer conventional pieces that fit well in your contemporary wardrobes. These ingenious craftsmen belong to a small town called Chanderi (a place Chanderi fabric derived its name from) in Madhya Pradesh. The alluring fabric is luxurious, lightweight, breathable and appealing enough for you to slay through a variety of special occasions.

The enticing mustard expanse is richly decorated with sona (gold) and rupa (silver) jaals, which are intricately crafted with lustrous gold and silver zari using the ancient Eknaliya weaving technique. The delicate zari designs are composed of one extra weft thread that is alternated with a single ground weft thread, which adds a touch of elegance to the dupatta. Its unrivalled aesthetic appeal and impeccable craftsmanship make it worth investing in. The heirloom-worthy dupatta will look ravishing when paired with a contrast-colored lehenga or dress suit.

The Weaving Technique

The Design Technique

Jangla is one of oldest and most rich patterns, the Jangla is truly representative of a banarasi. Floral patterns, paisley intertwine in brocade or kadhwa weaving on silk, kora or satin fabric. An interplay of floral jaals cover the saree or dupatta in Kadhwa and Kadhiyal weave with meenakari to create a rich design with or without contrasting borders. The jaal is enhanced with jewelled meenakari. This is one of the oldest and most complex weaving techniques from banaras.
