Details

Woven entirely by hand in pure tissue silk, Kalindi reflects the luminous delicacy and refined craftsmanship associated with exceptional Banarasi textiles. The soft gold surface carries an ethereal sheen that shifts beautifully with movement and light, creating a drape that feels fluid, weightless, and quietly opulent.

Scattered across the saree are finely woven parrot motifs accented with delicate pista meenakari detailing. In Indian textile traditions, the parrot is often associated with beauty, love, and graceful femininity. Rendered with remarkable finesse, these motifs introduce subtle moments of colour and intricacy against the luminous gold ground while preserving the understated elegance of the weave.

The saree is framed with an elegant zari border and refined pista selvedge, lending quiet structure and balance to the composition. The palla carries the same measured richness, woven with intricate detailing that enhances the natural translucence and fluidity of pure tissue silk rather than overpowering it.

Light in feel yet deeply rooted in handloom artistry, Kalindi is designed for intimate weddings, festive celebrations, ceremonial occasions, and collectors who appreciate understated luxury crafted by hand.

The Weaving Technique

Tanchois are a very fine weave banarasi sarees that use an extra weft thread to create delicate patterns. Tanchoi weaving is one of the complex and technical weaving techniques as it uses one or two warp and two to five weft colors. These sarees are extremely light weight and soft to drape. Jamawar & Tanchois are both satin weave techniques where the motifs are created using the primary weft yarn itself creating an inlaid or embossed look, unlike a brocade, which uses extra warp or weft to create the patterns.
Technically we use the word Jamawar or Jamewar when the motifs feature more than one color, while Tanchois usually have one single color motif or pattern. Jamawars also seem to have a lot of persian influence and are majorly dominated with paisleys in the design pattern
