WeaverStory proudly presents its new collection of Mata ni Pachedi sarees, a tribute to one of India’s most revered textile traditions.
Originally created by the Devi Pujak community along the Sabarmati River in Gujarat, Mata ni Pachedi literally means “behind the Mother Goddess.” These hand-painted and block-printed textiles were once sacred backdrops for shrines, illustrating the Goddess in divine forms, surrounded by motifs of nature, light, animals, and cosmic artistry. Traditionally made in only two natural hues—black and red—these textiles carried deep spiritual resonance.
Our collection re imagines this centuries-old craft for the contemporary woman, while staying true to its roots in handloom, natural dyes, and artisanal workmanship. Every saree is a canvas of devotion and storytelling, blending heritage motifs with timeless elegance.
At WeaverStory, we remain committed to preserving and promoting India’s craft culture, ensuring that rare traditions like Mata ni Pachedi continue to thrive. With every drape, you don’t just wear a saree—you carry forward a legacy of faith, art, and the spirit of the Goddess.
Discover the Mata ni Pachedi saree collection, where sacred artistry meets modern grace.
