Handloom Green Pure Katan Silk Tanchoi Banarasi Saree With Green Resham Work

Capturing the most intimate and emotional transformation of a lady's life from girlhood to womanhood, this sophisticated and alluring Saree designed by our team at WeaverStory, is such a feminine combination of both modesty and courage wrapped around in a single nine yard fabric of sheer sublimity. Studded with the quintessential density of an archetypal traditional ensemble, this Saree's impenetrability is somewhat complemented by the breezy and cozy texture of the crispy Green Resham work, allowing the two opposites to contribute to the infinite charm of the ethnic attire.

Encrusted by the popular Tanchoi craft work technique, the density of this Saree is exaggerated by the multiplicity of its uniform motifs that are hand woven with the authenticity of emerald Resham patterns. The authenticity of the Katan Silk filaments used in the making of this ethnic ensemble elevates its raw beauty, paying a heartily homage to the artistry of our rich heritage, as each and every thread is curated by twisting and mixing more than two filaments of sheer piousness together, in order to create an unforgettable bond of vitality and voraciousness.

The Weaving Technique

Tanchois are a very fine weave banarasi sarees that use an extra weft thread to create delicate patterns. Tanchoi weaving is one of the complex and technical weaving techniques as it uses one or two warp and two to five weft colors. These sarees are extremely light weight and soft to drape. Jamawar & Tanchois are both satin weave techniques where the motifs are created using the primary weft yarn itself creating an inlaid or embossed look, unlike a brocade, which uses extra warp or weft to create the patterns.
Technically we use the word Jamawar or Jamewar when the motifs feature more than one color, while Tanchois usually have one single color motif or pattern. Jamawars also seem to have a lot of persian influence and are majorly dominated with paisleys in the design pattern
