Purple Handloom Pure Katan Silk Tanchoi Banarasi Saree With Magenta Resham Work

Elegantly embellished with the zealous Resham patterns of Magenta and Fuchsia hues surrounded over the subtle purple and lilac friendly background screen, Weaver Story’s quintessentially paramount Banarasi Katan Saree with ingenuous Tanchoi craft patterns, has become the must have for the closet of every Saree buff. Curated on the banks of river Ganges in the pious city of Banaras, by twisting and mangling more than two Silk threads together, the strong and dexterous Katan Silk textile is derived with utmost devotion and respect for the Indian customs and traditions, keeping the minute artistry of the skillful artisans in mind.

Encrusted with an admiral streak of adorable Reshami motifs of pure intricacy, the Saree blends the historical elements from our triumphant past with the modern techniques of Saree making. The heavenly art work of the Tanchoi fillers elevates the ethnic spirit of the whole ensemble, tying everything with the bridal theme of the outfit. The feminine color scheme of both the Saree and the attached blouse piece are worth remembering, generating a sense of memorabilia among the makers.

The Weaving Technique

Tanchois are a very fine weave banarasi sarees that use an extra weft thread to create delicate patterns. Tanchoi weaving is one of the complex and technical weaving techniques as it uses one or two warp and two to five weft colors. These sarees are extremely light weight and soft to drape. Jamawar & Tanchois are both satin weave techniques where the motifs are created using the primary weft yarn itself creating an inlaid or embossed look, unlike a brocade, which uses extra warp or weft to create the patterns.
Technically we use the word Jamawar or Jamewar when the motifs feature more than one color, while Tanchois usually have one single color motif or pattern. Jamawars also seem to have a lot of persian influence and are majorly dominated with paisleys in the design pattern
