Sky Blue Handloom Pure Katan Silk Kimkhab Banarasi Saree With Silver Zari

Nestled with abundance of care and elegance on the banks of the pious river Ganges, in the religious and serene city of Varanasi, this extraordinarily attractive Katan Silk Saree by Weaver Story derives its hand loom origins from the sky blue and pigeon grey hues from the most natural of all the sources, promoting the fine artistry of the manual skill instead of the modern day hustle bustle of the industrialization. Embellished with an appealing and ornamental bed of Silver Kimkhab motifs, a world famous Persian hand weaving technique, the entire surface of the Saree is meticulously adorned with a web of uniform and untarnished patterns of intensive brocade interlacing in the form of delicate flowers and miniature leaf like structures.

Quintessentially reserved for the royalty classes of our culturally rich heritage, Katan Silk Sarees are esteemed for their high repute and unblemished character as each and every thread in its making has been birthed by twisting two or more Silk filaments together, in a rather unanimous chorus of togetherness and courage. The vintage aesthetic of the Persian Kimkhab designs charismatically blend themselves together with the modern color scheme of light blues, in order to create a triumphant intersection between the histories of the different nations.

The Weaving Technique

Kinkhwab is a rich, heavy silk fabric with an intricate pattern woven into it. Khinkwab textiles are largely used for ceremonial textiles and the resultant fabric is like woven gold, The weave produces intricate floral designs that appear embroidered on the surface of the fabric. The gold weave is so prominent that it almost covers the base fabric.
