Black And Silver Handloom Pure Silk Kanjivaram Saree With Korvai Peacock Border
Sarees come in hand every time you want to make your presence felt, be it at a party flanked by people mimicking the west or something Indian. With themes and colors becoming the thing of today, wearing this saree that has a pop of color and the saga of heritage makes you the best-dressed person in the crowd. Kanjivaram sarees have a beautiful tale to tell with all the motifs depicting India’s history, culture, tradition and richness. The intricate zari work with Korvai peacock borders makes this black, silver and blue beauty something you can’t say no to. Mesmerizingly crafted, this pure silk Kanjivaram saree is finely crafted and curated by the weavers using the Korvai technique which is said to be one of the most time-consuming weaving techniques.
Unlike most other weaving methodologies, Korvai needs two weavers to interlink the separately woven parts of a single saree to make it an elegant stretch of nine yards. The artsy peacock color border makes this saree stand out. A fresh combination of black silver and peacock color makes this saree a multi-tasker with its utility in the day as well as in the evening. As they say, flaunt it till you make it, the pallu of this surreal Kanjivaram weave is awe-strikingly beautiful; especially with the detailing that has gone into making it the highlight of the saree. Though paired with a bright blue, this saree comes with a peacock blue blouse piece that acts as the perfect contrast thus empowering its elegance multifold.

The three shuttle weaving technique used to create contrasts in borders and pallu is known as the Kanjivaram Korvai. Two weavers sit at both weft ends of a loom to throw the shuttle while weaving a korvai saree. A korvai saree is more expensive than a regular single color silk kanjivaram
