Dark Purple Handloom Pure Katan Silk Kimkhab Banarasi Saree With Magenta Selvedge

This vivacious Banarasi Silk Saree adorned with the double shade hues of courageous Violet and Dark Purple with Kimkhab zari motifs, curated by WeaverStory using the most sterling of the Katan Silk filaments, is a wonderful addition to an ethnic buff's closet. Hand loomed using the Katan Silk, where a single thread is made by intertwining several authentic Banarasi filaments together, in order to create a stern bond and a dense web of generous royalty, this Saree is an everlasting emblem of minimalism and purity.

The freshly vital aesthetic of the Kimkhab weaving technique generates a cluster free and unfussy web of floral and leafy motifs, birthing a sense of modernity within the wearers of this enchanting piece, while also staying in touch with their deeply traditional roots of cultural heritage. Thinly studded with a hot pink and magenta selvedge, the silhouette of the border matches the vibe of the Saree's colour palette and its golden interlacing, while also complimenting the attached blouse piece in every possible manner. This Saree is a godly intersection between the glorious patterns of our ethnic past and the Persian designs of craft work that have continued to rule our hearts over the years.

The Weaving Technique

Kinkhwab is a rich, heavy silk fabric with an intricate pattern woven into it. Khinkwab textiles are largely used for ceremonial textiles and the resultant fabric is like woven gold, The weave produces intricate floral designs that appear embroidered on the surface of the fabric. The gold weave is so prominent that it almost covers the base fabric.
