Gold Handloom Pure Silk Tissue Tanchoi Banarasi Saree With Silver Border Selvedge
This is gold at its most architectural. Woven on a pure silk tissue base using the Tanchoi method, the fabric is structured entirely from within, extra weft threads locked into the weave to create a surface that is dense, smooth, and self-luminous without a single addition on top. The body carries a fine geometric check jaal woven in tonal gold, barely-there in pattern but deeply present in texture, giving the fabric its quiet complexity.
What sets this saree apart is the silver selvedge border that runs its full length- a cool, mirror-bright edge against the warm gold body. As the drape moves, the interplay between warm gold and silver shifts continuously, never settling, always catching light.
Keep jewellery to a minimum and let the Banarasi saree command the room entirely. This is the perfect saree for a wedding reception, a formal evening function, or any occasion where dressing well means trusting the weave completely. It comes with a matching blouse piece.

The Weaving Technique
Tanchois are a very fine weave banarasi sarees that use an extra weft thread to create delicate patterns. Tanchoi weaving is one of the complex and technical weaving techniques as it uses one or two warp and two to five weft colors. These sarees are extremely light weight and soft to drape. Jamawar & Tanchois are both satin weave techniques where the motifs are created using the primary weft yarn itself creating an inlaid or embossed look, unlike a brocade, which uses extra warp or weft to create the patterns.
Technically we use the word Jamawar or Jamewar when the motifs feature more than one color, while Tanchois usually have one single color motif or pattern. Jamawars also seem to have a lot of persian influence and are majorly dominated with paisleys in the design pattern
