Handloom Green Double Shade Pure Katan Silk Kimkhab Banarasi Saree With Maroon Selvedge

The breathtakingly charismatic Pure Banarasi Silk Saree, carrying the double shaded color palette of emerald green and an undertone of the blonde hued craft work, designed by the hardworking team of Weaver Story, is a dazzling spectacle to an aspiring aesthete’s eyes. The 100% sterling Katan Silk fabric is the affectionate and devoted product of intertwining a handful of Silk filaments together in order to form an individual strand of extreme dexterity and sultry strength, which adds to the versatile and resilient nature of the Saree.

Hand loomed in the religious and pious city of Varanasi, our ravishing gem modernizes the ancient Kimkhab motifs of the Persian genealogy, laying emphasis on the ingenious presence of the unadulterated zari brocade interlacing on the dense Katan fabric. Ornaments of the thinly woven Maroon Selvedge grants a finishing touch to the entire ethnic ensemble, tying all the loose ends on the back and contributing to the minute detailing of the Saree. Pair this beauty with the matching blouse piece that comes along with it and you will be remembered as the fashion diva of the family for ages!

The Weaving Technique

Kinkhwab is a rich, heavy silk fabric with an intricate pattern woven into it. Khinkwab textiles are largely used for ceremonial textiles and the resultant fabric is like woven gold, The weave produces intricate floral designs that appear embroidered on the surface of the fabric. The gold weave is so prominent that it almost covers the base fabric.
