Handloom Hot Pink Pure Katan Banarasi Fabric With Cutwork Booti
Weaver story's top of the list Banarasi hand loom fabric carrying the fanciful hues of hot pink and fuchsia with a generous amount of zari cutwork and cultural remembrance, is here to make your ethnic events even more festive! Hand crafted by mangling a few threads of pure Silk altogether to strengthen the dense material, the Katan Silk used to make the fabric is curated right on the banks of River Ganges, situated in the traditionally rich city of Varanasi. The Katan material adds a touch of vintage to the gorgeous and vivacious color shade, bridging the gap between ancient and innovative.
Ornamented with golden cutwork booti and zari flowers, the weaving of this fabric is filled with sheer hard work and patience, as cutwork technique involves cutting and interlacing each floral portion separately, with individual intricacy and skill. This method adds value to the already ethnically expensive fabric, making it a magnum opus of our collection. Pair this handsome fabric with some of your mother's old style gold chokers to make the best out of this opulent ensemble.

The Weaving Technique
Phekwa is a weaving style from banaras, where the weft yarn is interlaced in the warp from one end to the other creating textures on the surface of the cloth also called the zamin. This can be done with single silk yarn or resham or zari, or both can be wound around shuttles.
This is one of the most widely used banarasi handloom weaving techniques where the motifs are woven together as opposed to kadhwa saress, thus taking lesser time in completing a saree. This weaving style leaves a large proportion of the silk or zari thread at the back of the saree where there is no motif at the front. These threads at the back are then cut, once the saree is complete. Mostly the ladies of the house help in cutting and cleaning this extra float
