Handloom Off White And Maroon Pure Silk Kanjivaram Saree With Korvai Border

Korvai, a centuries-old weaving technique that is exclusive to Kanjivaram silk sarees, is an art worthy of appreciation and applause from people across the globe. Unfurling a Kanjivaram handloom is always a sensorial delight, thanks to this remarkable weaving technique. Expert craftsmen in Kanchipuram use this brilliant weaving technique and meticulously craft each thread by hand into a Kanjivaram silk masterpiece. This off-white and maroon handloom, for example, is the epitome of elegance and oozes royalty and opulence in every inch.

It is thoughtfully designed and handcrafted by the master craftsmen of Kanchipuram. The off-white body of this silk extravaganza is crafted separately in contrast to the iconic maroon border. Both of them are then attached using the petni method with the help of an interlocking weave along the warp. The gold zari work richly decorated along the border steals the show while the off-white body maintains subtlety and simplicity at their best. The eye-catching pallu of this saree keeps you hooked on its aesthetic appeal, and the maroon blouse piece of similar aesthetic this saree comes with helps you complete the look. All you have to do is drape yourself in its elegance and add a gold necklace set to the attire to leave lasting impressions on everyone around you.

The Weaving Technique

The three shuttle weaving technique used to create contrasts in borders and pallu is known as the Kanjivaram Korvai. Two weavers sit at both weft ends of a loom to throw the shuttle while weaving a korvai saree. A korvai saree is more expensive than a regular single color silk kanjivaram
