Handloom Purple And Red Double Shade Pure Katan Silk Tanchoi Banarasi Saree With Magenta Resham Work

Originating from the ethnic streets of Banaras, by using the 100% pure and sterling textile of Katan Silk, WeaverStory's stunning masterpiece is a hand loomed gem of sheer elegance and sophistication. The vibrant and exquisite hues of Violet and Lavender blended with the double shaded silhouettes of Magenta and Fuchsia Resham work add to the joy of the traditional ensemble, while the authentic quality of buttery smooth Resham thread gives a magnifying glance into the diversity of our rich Indian culture and heritage.

While the versatility and resistance of the 100% unadulterated and sterling Katan Silk filaments contribute to the utmost unanimity and unity of this Saree's already glorious fabric, the colorful and symmetrical art work of the creative Tanchoi motifs reserve the heavenly piece for people of original taste and an expensive lifestyle. Covered with a majestic and royal color palette of lilac and covered with subtle feminine overtones, the ethnic ensemble communicates versatility, irresistibility and utter class with every twist of Silk threads, which mimics the making process of the Katan Silk textile used in this Saree.

The Weaving Technique

Tanchois are a very fine weave banarasi sarees that use an extra weft thread to create delicate patterns. Tanchoi weaving is one of the complex and technical weaving techniques as it uses one or two warp and two to five weft colors. These sarees are extremely light weight and soft to drape. Jamawar & Tanchois are both satin weave techniques where the motifs are created using the primary weft yarn itself creating an inlaid or embossed look, unlike a brocade, which uses extra warp or weft to create the patterns.
Technically we use the word Jamawar or Jamewar when the motifs feature more than one color, while Tanchois usually have one single color motif or pattern. Jamawars also seem to have a lot of persian influence and are majorly dominated with paisleys in the design pattern
