Handloom Sage Green Pure Satin Silk Reshami Jamawar Tanchoi Banarasi Saree
A Banarasi saree as appealing as this sage green Satin silk saree is a must-have addition to your festive wardrobe. Such silk sarees are the outcomes of the brilliant craftsmanship of Banarasi artisans. These artisans make use of the intricate Tanchoi weaving technique to craft every inch of such satin Banarasi sarees.
This sage green handloom features an exquisite display of paisley motifs crafted in different shades of green and pink. The hints of gold offer a distinguished sheen to the katan saree. The border of the Banarasi saree adorns an amalgamation of mint green and light pink thread work in vertically designed paisley motifs. The pure silk saree comes with a beige-colored blouse piece that features a border the same as the saree to help complete the look.

The Weaving Technique
Tanchois are a very fine weave banarasi sarees that use an extra weft thread to create delicate patterns. Tanchoi weaving is one of the complex and technical weaving techniques as it uses one or two warp and two to five weft colors. These sarees are extremely light weight and soft to drape. Jamawar & Tanchois are both satin weave techniques where the motifs are created using the primary weft yarn itself creating an inlaid or embossed look, unlike a brocade, which uses extra warp or weft to create the patterns.
Technically we use the word Jamawar or Jamewar when the motifs feature more than one color, while Tanchois usually have one single color motif or pattern. Jamawars also seem to have a lot of persian influence and are majorly dominated with paisleys in the design pattern
