Neel Gul Green Stone & Blue Meenakari Necklace
The beauty of this necklace lies in its unusual pairing of soft green stones and deep blue meenakari, brought together in a design that draws from Jaipur's rich jewellery traditions. Delicate gold chains lend the piece a sense of lightness, allowing the intricate floral motifs and ornamental pendant to take centre stage.
Crafted in gold-plated pure silver by artisans of the Jaipur craft cluster, the Neel Gul Necklace features two fine chains on either side, interspersed with green beads and floral elements adorned with uncut-style white stones. The pendant is the highlight of the composition, with a pear-shaped green stone framed by delicate white stones, blue enamelled flowers and curling gold-toned details. Five green bead drops complete the pendant, introducing gentle movement to the design.
The contrast between the vivid blue enamel, muted green stones and warm gold finish gives Neel Gul a distinctive character. Rooted in traditional craftsmanship yet remarkably versatile, it makes a graceful addition to festive and occasion wear.
Name Rationale:
Neel refers to blue, while Gul means flower. The name draws inspiration from the necklace's deep blue Meenakari floral motifs, beautifully complemented by soft green stones and delicate gold-toned detailing. Together, they reflect the botanical influences and interplay of colours that define the necklace's design.
Styling Tip: Pair it with an ivory Chanderi kurta, a powder blue silk saree or a deep emerald ensemble. A simple neckline will allow the pendant's intricate workmanship and colour palette to stand out.
