Neel Kamal Kundan Brooch with Blue Meenakari & Pearl Drop
Inspired by the symmetry of a blooming lotus, the Neel Kamal Kundan Brooch brings together the richness of Jaipur's jewellery traditions and the elegance of a carefully composed floral design. Its striking arrangement of blue enamel, white stones and gold lends the piece a distinctly regal character.
Crafted in gold-plated pure silver by artisans from the Jaipur craft cluster, the brooch features a rectangular, pearl-like central stone framed by delicate sparkling accents. A closely arranged circle of uncut-style white stones surrounds the centre, followed by an outer layer of larger stones set against turquoise Meenakari. Deep cobalt blue enamel defines the inner contours, lending contrast and emphasising the symmetry of the design.
A single pearl-like drop suspended from the base introduces a graceful element of movement, softening the brooch's structured silhouette. The openwork detailing on the back offers a glimpse into the intricacy of its construction.
With its considered proportions, traditional ornamentation and rich interplay of colours, Neel Kamal is a piece that celebrates the enduring appeal of Jaipur's jewellery craftsmanship.
Name Inspiration:
Neel Kamal draws inspiration from the blue lotus, a symbol of beauty and grace in Indian art. The name reflects the brooch's layered floral composition, where deep blue Meenakari, turquoise accents and luminous white stones come together around a prominent central setting.
Styling Tip: Pin it to the shoulder of a silk saree, the lapel of a tailored jacket or the front of a classic bandhgala. Its blue accents pair particularly well with ivory, gold, emerald green and deeper jewel tones.
