Peach Orange Handloom Pure Georgette Banarasi Cutwork Saree With Allover Rose Jaal

This Peach Orange Handloom Pure Georgette Banarasi Saree is distinguished by its all-over floral jaal and finely woven pallu. The peach-orange tone brings softness to the richness of Banarasi detailing, making it especially suited to celebratory dressing.

Handwoven in the Banarasi weaving cluster by skilled karigars, the saree is crafted on a pure georgette base. The fabric remains light and fluid, allowing the drape to fall naturally while retaining structure through pleats. Its character comes from the precision of the loom and the hand of the artisan.

Across the body, an all-over rose jaal is formed through floral motifs and connecting vines, creating continuity across the field. Executed in the cutwork technique, the woven detailing is carefully finished to bring clarity to the pattern while maintaining the lightness of georgette.

The pallu introduces a denser composition through geometric panels framed by floral zari borders and narrower woven bands. This contrast between the floral body and the more structured pallu gives balance to the overall design.

Ideal for wedding functions, festive gatherings, daytime celebrations, and occasions that call for detailed handwoven textiles.

Styling Note: Pair with a tonal peach blouse and kundan jewellery, or choose a gold blouse with minimal accessories.

The Weaving Technique

Phekwa is a weaving style from banaras, where the weft yarn is interlaced in the warp from one end to the other creating textures on the surface of the cloth also called the zamin. This can be done with single silk yarn or resham or zari, or both can be wound around shuttles.
This is one of the most widely used banarasi handloom weaving techniques where the motifs are woven together as opposed to kadhwa saress, thus taking lesser time in completing a saree. This weaving style leaves a large proportion of the silk or zari thread at the back of the saree where there is no motif at the front. These threads at the back are then cut, once the saree is complete. Mostly the ladies of the house help in cutting and cleaning this extra float
