Crafted in pure silk organza, the saree has a light, translucent character that allows the red to deepen and soften as the fabric is layered and draped. The openness of the organza also gives the embroidery space to stand apart rather than making the surface feel heavily embellished.

Across the body, zardozi meenakari bootis are embroidered by hand, bringing together gold-toned embroidery with jewel-coloured accents. Placed at considered intervals, the circular floral bootis introduce richness while allowing the red organza to remain the dominant visual element.

The defining feature is the contrast purple vintage handwoven Banarasi border. Sona zari forms an intricate composition of paisleys, florals and curling vines, with meenakari accents appearing within the weave. The purple ground creates a striking frame against the red, while the softened lustre of the vintage zari gives the border a depth and character that comes with age.
