Details

Mrignayani pairs light pink pure silk organza with an exceptionally detailed vintage Banarasi zari border. The body is kept entirely unembellished, allowing the softness and translucence of the organza to sit in quiet contrast to the intricacy of the preserved weave.

The pure silk organza carries a muted pink tone that deepens gently through the pleats while remaining light and sheer across the pallu. Its clean surface gives the saree a contemporary ease, leaving the craftsmanship of the border uninterrupted.

The vintage handwoven Banarasi border is the defining element. Woven predominantly in gold-toned zari, it features a continuous arrangement of paisley forms framed by smaller floral and geometric details. Fine pink threads run through the metallic weave, creating a subtle connection between the vintage border and the organza body.

The pallu expands into a broad field of intricate zari, finished with multiple woven bands that lend greater richness to the end of the drape. The border was woven by a four-time National Award-winning master weaver, reflecting the exceptional skill and precision held within the original textile.

Part of The Heirloom Vault, Mrignayani preserves this accomplished Banarasi craftsmanship within a new composition — designed to be worn today and treasured for the future.

Single piece. No repeats.
