Details

A study in contrast, Samyukta pairs sheer black pure silk organza with the richness of a vintage Banarasi border. The body remains entirely unembellished, allowing the depth of black and the metallic intricacy of the border to define the saree.

The pure silk organza is light and translucent, taking on greater depth as it gathers through the pleats. Its clean surface gives the saree a distinctly contemporary character while providing a striking setting for the vintage weave.

The vintage handwoven Banarasi border is worked in Sona Rupa zari, bringing together gold and silver-toned metallic threads. A fine geometric pattern fills the broad border, while a repeated row of pointed forms in contrasting metallic tones defines its inner edge. Against the uninterrupted black body, the precision of the geometric weave comes sharply into focus.

The pallu carries the zari work across a wider surface, giving the drape a more pronounced finish without introducing additional ornamentation. It is this balance of sheer black organza and an intricately woven vintage border that gives Samyukta its presence.

Part of The Heirloom Vault, Samyukta brings preserved Banarasi craftsmanship into a modern composition — designed to be worn today and treasured for the future.

Single piece. No repeats.
