This handmade pure silk organza saree in a rich purple brings together sheer lightness with the depth of a rare vintage weave. The body is deliberately kept plain, allowing the colour, translucency and border to define the saree.

The pure silk organza takes on different depths of purple as it moves — saturated through the pleats and gathers, and lighter across the sheer pallu. Its crisp yet delicate structure gives the saree a contemporary ease while retaining the presence of a traditional drape.

The highlight is the vintage handwoven Banarasi border, where birds, florals and curling vines unfold in antique-toned sona zari. Small red accents punctuate the composition, bringing subtle colour and definition to the intricate weave. Fine geometric detailing frames the border on either side, giving structure to the more fluid motifs within.
