A vivid hot pink pure silk organza is brought together with a rare vintage Banarasi border in Vasundhara, a singular saree from The Heirloom Vault. The contrast between the sheer, light body and the intricacy of the restored border gives the saree its distinctive character.

Handwoven in Banaras, the vintage border is worked in sona zari with an elaborate trail of floral forms, curling vines and paisley-inspired details. Small accents of purple meenakari appear within the weave, introducing colour between the gold and revealing themselves more closely with every fold. Its softened lustre speaks to the age of the border while preserving the fineness of the original workmanship.

Across the organza body, hand-embroidered zardozi bootis are placed at measured intervals. Their scale is deliberately restrained, allowing the transparency and intensity of the hot pink to remain visible while carrying touches of gold from the border into the body of the saree.
