Purple Double Shade Handloom Pure Satin Silk Tanchoi Jamawar Banarasi Saree with Zari Booti
This purple double-shade handloom is a uniquely designed Banarasi handloom that is bound to steal the show when worn on any special occasion. The Banarasi satin silk saree is carefully handwoven with soft satin Banarasi threads, resulting in an extremely light and highly durable handloom. The pure silk saree is handcrafted by Banarasi artisans employing the Tanchoi weaving technique.
This saree adorns a striking colour combination of orange, green, and white Resham threads. The pure silk saree is embellished all over with tiny paisley motifs and floral patterns designed with detailed Resham work. The pallu of the soft silk saree is adorned with floral patterns amidst enlarged paisley motifs in an identical aesthetic that adorn the saree's body. The border is also embellished with tiny paisley motifs in the same threadwork. The satin saree is accompanied by a purple blouse piece with a border similar to that of the saree.

The Weaving Technique
Tanchois are a very fine weave banarasi sarees that use an extra weft thread to create delicate patterns. Tanchoi weaving is one of the complex and technical weaving techniques as it uses one or two warp and two to five weft colors. These sarees are extremely light weight and soft to drape. Jamawar & Tanchois are both satin weave techniques where the motifs are created using the primary weft yarn itself creating an inlaid or embossed look, unlike a brocade, which uses extra warp or weft to create the patterns.
Technically we use the word Jamawar or Jamewar when the motifs feature more than one color, while Tanchois usually have one single color motif or pattern. Jamawars also seem to have a lot of persian influence and are majorly dominated with paisleys in the design pattern
