Violet Double Shade Handloom Pure Katan Silk Tanchoi Banarasi Saree With Red Resham Work

Looking like an ethereal and larger than life Renaissance painting, WeaverStory's gorgeously hand loomed Katan Silk Saree, which is purely nestled on the holistic banks of river Ganges, carries the double hues of feminine Red Resham Work deeply embedded on the starling Violet background, is a doppelganger mirrored personification of the fresh lavender fields surrounded by appealing crimson butterflies. Adorned with handsomely hand crafted motifs of the Tanchoi technique of craft work, each pattern seems different yet uniform to each other in a symmetrical sense of sublimity; the Saree is automatically placed on a pedestal of utter respect and social reputation as a rare masterpiece.

Involving the diligent and affectionate process of twisting and intertwining more than a few sterling and authentic Silk threads together in order to birth an individual strand, Katan Silk textile pays a heartily homage to the Banarasi nativity and their ancestral technique of detailed fabric weaving. The bold and courageous color contrast of Red Resham work finds a comfortable sojourn in the zealous bubble of Violet shades, contributing to the accomplishment of the ethnic ensemble among the common masses.

The Weaving Technique

Tanchois are a very fine weave banarasi sarees that use an extra weft thread to create delicate patterns. Tanchoi weaving is one of the complex and technical weaving techniques as it uses one or two warp and two to five weft colors. These sarees are extremely light weight and soft to drape. Jamawar & Tanchois are both satin weave techniques where the motifs are created using the primary weft yarn itself creating an inlaid or embossed look, unlike a brocade, which uses extra warp or weft to create the patterns.
Technically we use the word Jamawar or Jamewar when the motifs feature more than one color, while Tanchois usually have one single color motif or pattern. Jamawars also seem to have a lot of persian influence and are majorly dominated with paisleys in the design pattern
